A clear picture

I love to take pictures. I have always dreamt of going around the world and taking pictures for a living. About two years ago we bought the nicest digital camera we could find. 10.2 mega pixels. Wow! not really. It had all kinds of cool settings but it still had a small lens that takes OK shots. The photos on this blog were taken primarily with the old camera. So now I have a Nikon L100. I like it so much better. It has a giant lens, and good settings. I can crop, and flip the pictures in the camera! That alone will save me much time. Here is my favorite shot so far.
Since we have moved near Fullerton we have been taking advantage of all the wilderness trails they have. There are some cool places around here. If you haven't been and would like to know where they are please let me know so I can tell you. This picture was taken near the Brea Dam. I love how you can see Long Beach waaaaaay beyond Knott's Berry Farm. The picture came out kind of blurry because of the heat. That trail was an unexpected surprise.

Music! Yes!

Ok so music is doing so good rite now. Not only do I love the new sounds, but old bands are coming out with new sounds, and reviving old styles. I love The Airborn Toxic Event, and Siversun Pickups, and The Killers... The list goes on. What I love the best is the old bands coming back after so long and doing new stuff. I guess New Kids On the Block kind of started it (Not that I listen to them). But other bands have followed. Like Rancid, Dipech Mode, and best of all Blink 182. How awesome is it and inspiring that we can all put aside our differences, and focus on what counts. It makes me swell up with happiness and joy, and... whatever you get it. I hope you all are finding fun surprises in the music community. What are some of your thoughts?

P.S. Check out The Coldwar Kids everyone. I think you all will enjoy there stuff. ( The stuff on the radio is not as good as the rest. Plus they put on an amazing show :0)

Broken Wing

Last month I separated my shoulder. For those of you who don't know what that is I suggest you Google it. It hurts... A Lot! I can't wait till it heals, so I can go riding quads again. Fortunately I am able to keep my job. My birthday was awesome. We went to see pirate ships in San Diego.

It's Time.

It was hard when I got laid off last year. I was with the company for 4 years. I was good at it, and knew what I was doing. I spent most of last year looking for a job, or working some small job to make ends meet. I went through 4 jobs last year. Thank God I'm done with that. I took advantage of a good opportunity to get myself back into the windows and doors business. I have been with them for 2 weeks, and I have loved every day so far. Also I got my own truck to get me to and from work. I am so happy. I hope all of you are as happy as me. May you find happiness in these hard times.

The eye in the sky.

I just watched the movie Eagle Eye. It got me thinking about where we are headed in the future... And I love it! I can't wait for the machines to take over. We as humans are a stupid society and I think computers, and machines will do a much better job. I think it will be like The Terminator, or I Robot when the machines take our freedom for our own good. I can't wait for the day. But mabey it's just me. It won't be all bad. We will probobly go to Mars, and stop global warming and stuff too. Who knows if there will be a war between us but that's the most exciting part, waiting to see haw things will work out between us. I would hate it to be like the Matrix and be a battery.

Music Movies

Last night I watched August Rush. I added it to my favorite movies about music. now there are 3. Once is my number one. August Rush is my number two, and Music and Lyrics is my number three. I grew up with a family of musicians. I was raised with music. It will always touch my heart strongly. This is also my favorate type of movie. they havn't come out with many that impress me, that is why the list is so short. If there are any that you think I may have missed please let me know. I would love to see more movies like the three mentiond here.

New Job.

So have been working this new job the last three months. It's nice to have something since I got laid off from my last job. Today will be my 7th consecutive day working, and I still have to go in tomorrow. This wouldn't be so bad, except on my last day of , I rode quads in the desert all day. I guess I'll just have to play hard on a later day. Because to day I'm working hard.

Ready for change?

Today was a good day for voting. Regardless of what I voted for it is fun to vote. People always seem to "Boo" others who don't vote. I say "Boo" to them. People have just as much right not to vote as we do to vote. Many solders died so we can choose not to vote if we want, but they died so we can vote as well. Also I like to get the sticker that says "I Voted". It allows others to confront me and ask who I voted for, and what I voted on without them feeling like they are stepping through my comfort zone. That situation typically doesn't turn into a heated debate, just a thought provoking conversation.
Today was a monumental day, the first African-American president. How exiting it was to see. Like seeing the first African-American Base ball player, or Lawyer. It will definitely stick with me, and I will forever remember where I was and what I was doing. I can only hope God blesses him as he serves as the president of the united states. Something only a hand full of people get to do, and will ever do.
I hope this day will inspire you and the rest of the world to change for the better, whether it is voting next time, or embracing some one you didn't vote for with the love of God. If you never thought you could become someone the world looked up to, or if you find out greatness wasn't meant for you, let's move forward together. We all need to change. Even if it's just a little.

companies these days...

I was in Target yesterday. They have a very cute Halloween display if you haven’t seen it. I was taking a picture of some bat they had on there display when security kindly asked me not to take pictures in the store, it was store policy. I was surprised because after all they sell cameras, and have one of the best photo labs around. It got me to think how many other companies have this same policy. I also thought what if some other companies had the same policy, like Disney for instance. In fact Disney had a great contest on YouTube for people to send in their best home videos taken in the park. http://www.youtube.com/user/DisneyParks

In the world we live in store policies like the one Target has will not be able to last very long. In fact I’m sure they would have a difficult time enforcing it. I understand why Target (and I don’t mean to pick on just Target, it’s the policy like this one stores have in general that capture my attention.) has this policy, but I wish more companies would understand the way the world is changing and make it more fun for the consumer. The same way Disney did. In fact it would bring much free publicity to a store for choosing to do what Disney did with YouTube. It might even help them sell a few cameras.

New work.

Or should I say no work. Things are slow at work, and I can't help but think it's all your fault. Come on people! spend your money. Then we will all have lots of money and be rich$$ Any way. Hope you all have a great day and stay cool you all.

By the way we got a dog. His name is Bowser.
