I have always dreamt of going around the world and taking pictures for a living. About two years ago we bought the nicest digital camera we could find. 10.2 mega pixels. Wow! not really. It had all kinds of cool settings but it still had a small lens that takes OK shots. The photos on this blog were taken primarily with the old camera. So now I have a Nikon L100. I like it so much better. It has a giant lens, and good settings. I can crop, and flip the pictures in the camera! That alone will save me much time. Here is my favorite shot so far. <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0-Jv9poTOXjtcyRi2vYGcsSiib0v5FjfW4F6BDTNZbHNnnCfgSy6ggJ5GhXFqsTZkbXIprjGpsX4aBgOK-KPhNDEr3NoEKx386VM8mA8N6QefHs1oduyETv6f-uPRq2KqZqL9m7mijmU/s320/DSCN0024.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349088936425172290" />
Since we have moved near Fullerton we have been taking advantage of all the wilderness trails they have. There are some cool places around here. If you haven't been and would like to know where they are please let me know so I can tell you. This picture was taken near the Brea Dam. <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjK5yLI7dcFaMuiHsg6zPKjrOCn-fsxLwrpXHJssnY4VBrKct-WBAM213HnL_Yz_SojpibB7frWKux7UJGjs7KuEXmhdjVH9H_aRTTWvi7pNSxw4ATbu3LJKS4KDlhG69YCo_mGxVxjP18/s320/DSCN0025.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349090320433191794" /> I love how you can see Long Beach waaaaaay beyond Knott's Berry Farm. Not only do I love the new sounds, but old bands are coming out with new sounds, and reviving old styles. I love The Airborn Toxic Event, and Siversun Pickups, and The Killers... The list goes on. What I love the best is the old bands coming back after so long and doing new stuff. I guess New Kids On the Block kind of started it (Not that I listen to them). But other bands have followed. Like Rancid, Dipech Mode, and best of all Blink 182. How awesome is it and inspiring that we can all put aside our differences, and focus on what counts. It makes me swell up with happiness and joy, and... whatever you get it. I hope you all are finding fun surprises in the music community. What are some of your thoughts?

P.S. Check out The Coldwar Kids everyone. I think you all will enjoy there stuff. ( The stuff on the radio is not as good as the rest. Plus they put on an amazing show :0)Brandon Barbeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06134332012936577263noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3528865118303119590.post-24860647475569181112009-03-10T21:54:00.000-07:002009-03-10T22:10:14.730-07:00Broken Wing<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqzAY57OblBew2BroS3gsqkBq1ZKUsypzTnUImD_YKeshbvddO44yANfhRWpBCZCfXGt-fclmILHYKFPZ354mOcqaA6lo5vyVwsiXF-jA1uwlT8iupvEakgMhrlxlcdF9lyrvUJ781qXQ/s320/desert+v+day+053.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5311792663595233730" />
Last month I separated my shoulder. For those of you who don't know what that is I suggest you Google it. It hurts... A Lot! I can't wait till it heals, so I can go riding quads again. Fortunately I am able to keep my job. I was with the company for 4 years. I was good at it, and knew what I was doing. I spent most of last year looking for a job, or working some small job to make ends meet. I went through 4 jobs last year. Thank God I'm done with that. I took advantage of a good opportunity to get myself back into the windows and doors business. I have been with them for 2 weeks, and I have loved every day so far. Also I got my own truck to get me to and from work. I am so happy. I hope all of you are as happy as me. May you find happiness in these hard times.Brandon Barbeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06134332012936577263noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3528865118303119590.post-38379204875321224382009-01-10T22:22:00.000-08:002009-01-10T22:43:42.225-08:00The eye in the sky.I just watched the movie Eagle Eye. It got me thinking about where we are headed in the future... And I love it! I can't wait for the machines to take over. We as humans are a stupid society and I think computers, and machines will do a much better job. I think it will be like The Terminator, or I Robot when the machines take our freedom for our own good. I can't wait for the day. But mabey it's just me. It won't be all bad. We will probobly go to Mars, and stop global warming and stuff too. Who knows if there will be a war between us but that's the most exciting part, waiting to see haw things will work out between us. I would hate it to be like the Matrix and be a battery.

-BrandonBrandon Barbeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06134332012936577263noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3528865118303119590.post-53285427017838335392009-01-04T23:13:00.000-08:002009-01-04T23:34:21.893-08:00Music MoviesLast night I watched August Rush. I added it to my favorite movies about music. now there are 3. Once is my number one. August Rush is my number two, and Music and Lyrics is my number three. I grew up with a family of musicians. I was raised with music. It will always touch my heart strongly. This is also my favorate type of movie. they havn't come out with many that impress me, that is why the list is so short. If there are any that you think I may have missed please let me know. I would love to see more movies like the three mentiond here.

-BrandonBrandon Barbeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06134332012936577263noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3528865118303119590.post-76152444548241887772008-12-04T11:22:00.000-08:002008-12-04T11:29:51.691-08:00New Job.

So have been working this new job the last three months. Regardless of what I voted for it is fun to vote. People always seem to "Boo" others who don't vote. I say "Boo" to them. People have just as much right not to vote as we do to vote. Many solders died so we can choose not to vote if we want, but they died so we can vote as well. Also I like to get the sticker that says "I Voted". They have a very cute Halloween display if you haven’t seen it. I was taking a picture of some bat they had on there display when security kindly asked me not to take pictures in the store, it was store policy. I was surprised because after all they sell cameras, and have one of the best photo labs around. It got me to think how many other companies have this same policy. I also thought what if some other companies had the same policy, like Disney for instance. In fact Disney had a great contest on YouTube for people to send in their best home videos taken in the park. http://www.youtube.com/user/DisneyParks

In the world we live in store policies like the one Target has will not be able to last very long. In fact I’m sure they would have a difficult time enforcing it. I understand why Target (and I don’t mean to pick on just Target, it’s the policy like this one stores have in general that capture my attention.) has this policy, but I wish more companies would understand the way the world is changing and make it more fun for the consumer. The same way Disney did. In fact it would bring much free publicity to a store for choosing to do what Disney did with YouTube. It might even help them sell a few cameras.Brandon Barbeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06134332012936577263noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3528865118303119590.post-26970322220452341132008-10-22T09:15:00.001-07:002008-10-22T10:44:47.526-07:00New work.Or should I say no work. I took a day hike to Dana Point, and dicided that posting pictures was not enough. Videos are so much more personal, easy, and more intiresting to look at in general. I want you to know I was thinking of all of you on my hike and the reson I made this was... For you!

That was ultimate joy! I love seals so much, but not as much as I love my wife.

If you liked what you saw check out the rest of my videos a facebook, youtube, or myspace.

Brandon Barbeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06134332012936577263noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3528865118303119590.post-37147747070592737882008-02-06T22:18:00.000-08:002008-02-06T22:20:18.910-08:00Good night...zzzzzSorry I feel tierd lately. Why do people get such enjoyment out of the same song day after day year after year? If I here Jingle Bells again I’m going to pop. And don’t even get me started on the shopping.

With that out of the way (thank you for listening to me vent) I would like to say Merry Christmas! I am so excited. Not to sure what about, but there are many reasons for me to be. The company Christmas party, a possible free concert, my week and a half long vacation, my trip to Iowa, Christmas!

I think it’s a combination of everything. But I think what my excitement really is, is the work I did this past year. From my job to my home life to my recreational life I did so much. My job has become very stressful, and they keep moving me around, it is fulfilling however.

I had a Disneyland pass the whole year. I went like 60 times. That’s more than once a week. My wife and I got beach cursers for charismas, and have used them for many day trips to the beach.

I have reached out more online. I have, or am sure I can find any friend online. What a powerful tool! I have started a pod cast, posted many pictures, and started a blog this year so I can not only keep in touch with people but keep people in touch with me.

Overall I’m happy with the way things turned out this year. I hope 2008 is as wonderful as 2007. I sure hope all of you hade a fantastic year and I hope your 2008 is as good as I hope mine will be. Happy holidays!
Brandon Barbeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06134332012936577263noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3528865118303119590.post-45858960592783415092007-11-30T15:53:00.002-08:002007-11-30T16:43:27.416-08:00Just keep swimming...
Okay so it’s been a while, but I’m still alive. With school and work and my parents moving, and all that stuff I NEED a break. It always cuts into my relaxing time. I typically relax by messing around on the computer.

I do all kinds of stuff online. In my opinion the internet was the best invention ever. I can keep track of all my friends without going anywhere. I can even find old friends lost. I spend much time doing this. It is important to me to keep track of everyone. I have many different accounts online. I have a Flickr, MySpace, Blogger, Facebook, Snapvine, YouTube, MyPodcast, Twitter, I’m even published by iTunes, and I have a wii to share my mii. I want it to be easy for people to find me.

Also I spend much of my time creating, building and promoting my group “the entertainment lover’s alliance”. I made this group so all of my “friends” and anyone who wants to join can entertain each other. Please post anything creative you have whether it is a picture, painting, sculpture, or a movie. Even if it isn’t yours, and you just think it’s cool and want everyone to know what you think. I guess the group actually reflects the enjoyment I get out of watching all of you (My Friends) entertain me. After all it is what I’d rather do most.

I just thought I would let you all know that I can see all the wonderful things you post online and I thank you for them. Keep up the good work.
Brandon Barbeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06134332012936577263noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3528865118303119590.post-92211363216636183142007-08-10T17:28:00.000-07:002007-08-10T17:33:55.448-07:00A neccessary evilMy computer sucks! It is ether off line, or too slow, or I can't get a program to work, or something. I finally fixed everything, and published my next podcast. I hate technology sometimes, it's evil. But I did learn a thing or too to help me in the future. And I got a digital voice recorder/ Flash drive to help me between computers. In that aspect I love technology. It can adapt to its self.Brandon Barbeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06134332012936577263noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3528865118303119590.post-32411866835321644842007-06-22T17:20:00.001-07:002007-06-22T17:36:40.174-07:00The ELAThe Entertainment Lover's Alliance Was made for all of you who are frustrated with the entertainment industry and don't know what to do about it. Here is a place where your voice can be heard. If you like something someone did. Talk about it! if you think someone is doing something crappy, Talk about it. Also feel free to express yourself artistically in any way. This is a place where you can be a celebrity among your friends, and fellow Entertainers. This group is on MySpace, Facebook, and JWB at MyPodcast. Good night and good luck.Brandon Barbeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06134332012936577263noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3528865118303119590.post-80341953468210704062007-06-17T18:09:00.001-07:002007-06-17T18:16:35.484-07:00ShoppingThis weekend I went on a small shopping spree. Heather and I bought a bed frame, and some mattress pads. My favorite is our new baby (a small bamboo plant). Today we went bowling for father's day, and I bought the Jolly Roger to put on my bike. Now I'm winding things down by watching the race. GO TONY!Brandon Barbeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06134332012936577263noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3528865118303119590.post-47710660206402527132007-06-12T22:06:00.000-07:002007-06-12T22:14:14.228-07:00WelcomeI have been waiting for all of you!
